Things have been spotty around here thanks to a bit of traveling I’ve been doing the past few weeks.
Two weeks ago I was in Canada, or as I like to call it, the US from 15 years ago (they still have Toys R Us!). Also, Tim Horton’s is underrated - they seriously need to expand into the US. If you’ve never been to one, it’s like if Dunkin Donuts had good food and good coffee.
Then last week I got to visit Nashville for a work trip/mini vacation. I was able to bring my family with me, so that was a lot of fun. I did not wear cowboy hat/boots.
I did get to try Prince’s Hot Chicken… that was great.
They also have a full size replica of the Parthenon in the middle of a park, which was pretty awesome.
It’s actually a museum and has a giant statue of Athena. Highly recommend.
I’m not really a “city guy”. Most of them smell like some combination of urine and marijuana. At least in the US. But Nashville was one of the nicer ones I’ve been to. We had a chance to walk around a bit and it was definitely a cool experience. Live music everywhere and zero human excrement, so that’s always a plus (looking at you, San Francisco).
Maybe next time I’ll actually get a cowboy hat.
Thanks for reading! My traveling is done so we’re back on a regular schedule and there’ll be a new Change Log comic here next week.
If you want to see more of my artwork/sketches/ramblings, follow me on X and here on Substack Notes. And if you really want to support me, I have a store!
Also, if you’re into political cartoons, I have another newsletter called Political Nomad with a new comic every Thursday.
Have a great week!
