They deserve to be mocked.
We don’t have any unbiased news media anymore. If there were any before, they died with the last couple presidential administrations and Covid was the final nail in the coffin. They all have their own agenda and it is not journalism.
Something coming next week…
The other day, when I was writing this week’s Change Log comic, I realized that they’ve been getting more political lately. Change Log wasn’t meant to be about politics, but there has always been an aspect of politics in it. You can’t really make a comic strip about a libertarian dog and not be a bit political.
I really wanted this strip to be more about pop culture and technology than politics. But politics have infested everything lately, it seems. To the detriment of pretty much everything.
Politics has been injected in stories where it doesn’t belong. I blame bad writers who can’t think beyond their own opinions.
At the same time, there has been a real lack of political comics that make fun of all sides. I’m not sure we’ve ever had a president that was a bigger gaffe machine than our current one. Comedians should be having a field day, but, outside of a few, it seems like they’re too scared that if they make fun of this guy, the other guy might get back in there.
I miss comedians like Norm Macdonald and George Carlin. They didn’t care who they offended.
So I decided to do something that I never thought I would do.
Here’s a little tease…
More about this next week!
Hope you have a great one.
